the ICC Cricket world cup is 11th cricket world cup jointly hosted by Australia and New zeeland from 14 February to 29 March 2015. 14 teams played 49 matches in 14 Venues. the hosting rights were awarded at the same time as those of 2011 cricket world cup. which Australia and new zeeland had originally bid to host. and 2019 world cup which was awarded to England. the 2011 Cricket world cup awarded to the 4 Asian test cricket playing countries. India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh . the international cricket council were sufficiently impressed with the Trans-Tasman bid that it was decided to award the next world cup to Australia and New zealand. this was the second chance that tournament was held in Australia and New Zealand . India were the defending champions having won the tournament in 2011 when it was held in the Indian subcontinent. defeating sri lanka in the final by 6 wickets. tickets for the pool match between India and Pakistan played on 15 Feb 2015. the final match of the world cup was played in Melbourne Cricket ground between New zeeland and Australia in front of record crowed 93013. Australia defeated the new zeeland and won the match by 7 wickets.
